No joke....i can feel myself getting sick already.

I just can't wait for the 6° low next Tues night per whnt. Fawk that ****. Already had to fix two different frozen/busted water pipes at one of the rental houses in the past two weeks. Told the fawker he better leave the faucets dripping this week, no more 10pm calls on Sunday night complaining about no water pressure.

If there's power in the shack the well pump is in...couldn't he put a light bulb out there to serve as a heater and prevent the issue?

People run heat lamps in pump houses and under houses here all the time. Just a huge light bulb that creates heat.

I feel for you guys down South. We are accustomed to cold weather but it's not often you get the temps you’ve been seeing

Them mofo's was hibernating! Always wondered what they did to survive the winter. Never seen them move so slow, barely could kick their legs after I sprayed them fawkers.

It's not actually used as a well house anymore, the water line from the meter just goes there to tie in to the already existing main pipe that goes into the house. Not really sure if there is power in there now or not, don't remember seeing any wires. The other pipe that busted was in another location about a week prior. There just so many half assed things at that house. The insulation was falling apart and was gone off of half the pipe that busted. I put new foam insulation on it after I replaced the pipe section, maybe it will make through the week. Lol

It was the wife's family's old house. My wife was actually born at home in that house, and she inherited it when her father died 1.5 yrs ago. It's been a rental for probably 10-15 years after they moved into a new house, stuff just half ass fixed and done by illiterate farm hands instead of actually calling a plumber to install new plumbing here and there. Literally had a **** pipe separate under the house and then a pea trap fall off under one of the showers this year also. We've spent a lot of money and time remodeling it but it's paying for it all and we're fixing stuff we shouldn't have to fix again for a long time....time=money. Got the electricity upgraded to a new 200 amp service and breaker panel, and done away with the old fuse box. Just put new french doors in a couple months ago. But it's all stuff that needed done 10 years ago and just been let go. I am renting my old house out too, different story with that one. Everything is solid and easy money there.....for now. Lol.

I have always had trouble with my well house freezing when it gets really cold, even with a heater in there. I spray foamed my shop this year and the dude asked if there was anything else that needed it. I had him go down there and spray foam my well house. I have not even turned on the heater yet this year and it has not froze up yet. I fully expected to be charged for it, but he sprayed the well house for free.

What are the demintions of your shop and how much did it cost to insulate it? I’ve got one going up in the next couple of weeks and can’t decide what to do on insulation.

Good deal on tow straps at Tractor supply, I bought a couple extra, and these are the heavy duty ones rated at 3300lb instead of 1500 like most.

My kids and the nieces needed some time in the snow/ice this morning. They really enjoy being drug around on the sled. Used to get 7+ kids on there at 1 time, but they are to big now.

The sled is an old bed liner with an I bolt and a couple pieces of metal used as the tow point.

40X80 Quonset building. With the way it is shaped it worked out to basically 40X100 in surface area to spray. I got 2'' closed cell on the sides and 3'' towards the top. They are tougher to spray than your normal building. I paid 15K. It really is pretty awesome stuff. Really made the entire building more rigid and strong.

I'll grill in colder 25 is pretty cozy around these parts this time of year. Not sure you can actually claim that your grilling if your using propane though!

I like having to pay $25 a year for a Constitutional right. I can have all sorts of guns, even wear one on my side into Walmart, but god forbid I throw one in the console or glovebox without paying $25/yr. Horse****.
