That's what I need . I load up a ton of buckets and go feed .

I used to do it that way. You can get the cake feeders in a lot of different sizes, that one holds 1800 lbs of feed. You can get them 250 lbs all the way up to 3000 lbs I think. Can get them for flatbeds/pickup beds/trailer mounted/atv/utv/pickup box mounted etc. Definitely worth having one.

Dang it, that's what I was afraid of.

I had some trees cut cause I didn't want them falling on neighbors place. After the tree tremors cut it down they told me they deal with issues all the time and tree owner is liable for damage. Who knows if they are right or wrong.

Reading on Allstate insurance site. Seems your homeowners policy will cover the damage from a tree falling regardless of whose land it was on. Unless it can be proved that it was due to neglect. I'm guessing neglect being a dead tree...

Sounds like if a storm knocks the healthy down, the one with the damage is responsible.

I have Allstate homeowners, they are handling it. It was a live and well tree. I really dont care Id rather anything in the yard get killed other than my truck. I know its a material item but still hurts after all the time I have in it. I stripped it down to the frame a few years ago and built it to what it is, not a bouncer but not a hack job. All gone..

At the end of the day Im really blessed. IF the tree had fell 24 hrs before we would have been crushed by it. We ( the whole family) was out by the swing set. It could be worse but thankfully its not. I can build the truck again (but im not going to), life isnt..

For the size of that tree, the cage held up pretty good. Do you think the frames bent?

Yeah I'm pretty sure the frame is bent. The front half points towards the neighbors house and the bed is still straight. Yeah I shocked at how well the cage did. It was really a minimal cage with no frame tie ins.

That makes me want to cuss! I can only imagine how you feel. What about your neighbors insurance? Even so, I bet they just cover the $1200 a stock Ranger is worth anyways

Normally I'd support this, but pretty sure it didn't have a motor, trans, or tcase at the moment. His old setup is in my garage and he was gathering parts for the LS swap.

If that's the case, id pull the good parts and start over. Sucks, I know.

Or you could pull the can, straighten the frame and put on a new cab/cage.

I'm kinda surprised your insurance didn't go after it considering it was the neighbors. Unless they had the same company for their policy.

This is what I'm being told, if the tree had presented a danger to my property I should have called and had a police report made. The fact that it's a green(healthy) tree and the wind blew it over it's an "act of God" means I can't go after her(neighbor) or her insurance company (I could but be a waste of money direct quote lol) to recover the value of my truck. I was told I should have had insurance on it even though it's not street legal, we tried to get insurance on it before but can't without a valid tag(an 1989 ranger isn't a classic car) Vehicles aren't covered by home owners unless its park under a permanent cover. In all reality I should have had full coverage and declared the value of everything on the truck. And for the record this is my very first insurance claim of any kind in my 34 years of life. Learned quick that if it has value you better have insurance on it. What really would have sucked is if this were a rig I was working on. But at the end of the day it's really just money and I'm so thankful my family wasn't harmed from the tree.

Logan was right there's no engine it now.. but doesn't help that I've been gathering parts to put in it. And the real kicker is the fact that all my work is now trash... And yeah I'm not wod, eor, or Jduck but it was still time and money that's now going to the scrap yard. Is what it is. The parts will end up in something just hope it's as cool(to me) as the old one.
