I don't think Soni was affiliated with Avalanche. He built the "Scorpion" car back in the day, looked similar, but more flat panels like Frankie Fountain buggy's of the same era.

When I put my ultra bell on my Jeep I think I had the transmission in and out about 6 times that weekend trying to get it to stop leaking

Top of my head :

Sonny Honneger and Heath Bigg built the first Scorpion. I still have the FourWheeler magazine with the Scorpion on the cover and the 4 page feature on it. they said it was one of the most insane vehicle they ever laid eyes on :D I think it was a 1997 magazine. It is a prized possession of mine.

At some point the design got sold to Prefered Chassis Fabrications and they made a few different versions in order to get a military contract. Which never happened (IIRC).

Avalanche Engineering is a completely different company, now dead (same IIRC)

I find it funny everyone made fun of the XJs with "Angry Eyes", myself included and now TJs and JKs have the caveman brow thing.
