Dang what a weird thing to learn the hard way.
Yes. He was about go med vet which is emergency vet and it’s 500 bucks to walk in door. He’s been there twice in 3 years. I think one of em mighta been flash burn. So anybody that has a garage dog please be aware. I never woulda thought a dog get flash burn till I googled it.

It certainly makes sense and something I’d of never thought about occurring.

Got to go on a cool trip with the wife for our 10 year anniversary over to Cosby, Tennessee area. Just wanted to share in case anyone wanted to do some non-tourist but also tourist things around the Gatlinburg, Tennessee area.

Decided to go glamping in a dome tent (king bed, kitchen, regular bathroom, dining area, etc) for a few days. It was a great experience and something I'd highly recommend to anyone looking for camping without camping.

Monday we drove twisty roads around Cosby to little towns like Hartford to Newport (Bush Beans has a plant, restaurant, and museum there), and through 2 of only 6 covered bridges in all of Tennessee. The first bridge (Harrisburg) was built in 1875 and sees 20 cars a day. The second bridge (Emerts) was builtin 2000 and saw 20+ cars in the 15 minutes we were there.

Tuesday we went to a mountain zip line, which was insanely fast, but also cool. Drove to Clingmans Dome overlook, walked up to the top (12% grade), explored Sugarlands Park, ate at a brewery, and went for some Hillbilly Golf.

Wednesday we did the tourist thing of Anakeesta in the rain. It was pretty neat overall and not crowded since it was drizzling rain most of the day. They have some great options to get to/from the mountain between the covered semi trucks and Rams/Fords, as well as the skylift things too. They have a cool rope bridge area that let us see a bear and cub. Watched them wander around for an hour or so. Also got to watch them lift the roof onto an upcoming building via crane, so that was neat.

Thursday we drove back home via even more random, twisty routes.

Normal people would take about 4 hours to get there via interstate, but we picked backroads there and back. Took 6 hours to get there and 7 hours to get back home, only repeating 1 mile total of that drive.

I do not miss those days, well I kinda do simply because I was in early teens

I can remember bucking haybales in the barn loft back when I was 13 or so. It was kind of fun.
I only hauled square bales a few times, but I feel like that’s something you look back on with “Graduation Goggles”.

Saw this on vacation last week and if I ever decided to get into overlanding (don't see it happening as I don't have the right mindset after years of wheeling) I'd build something like this. Don't think I'd run Mickey Baja Claws though. It's in Iceland thus the funny front plate.

Those things are pretty cool and amazing where they can actually go.

My brother is finally upgrading my old zj to tons. Superduties and new 40” ltb’s.

Nice! What axles and drivetrain were under it?
Had a Dana 30 that was built to the hilt and a 8.8. Ran it probably 13 years and only lost one front r&p and that was this summer when he was beating on it pretty good. That jeep been through mason jar and lions den and all over locally. Been a rock solid rig. Can’t wait to see how it goes now. Still got a 4.0 in it but that thing runs amazing

Not bad for 2 full Saturdays. Rear is completely done except bumps and limit straps. Waiting on Coilovers from Dave’s on the front and she will be real close. A lot of cutting to clear on the front though. Had get a little ghetto on the lift to clear the link arms. It worked lol
