One of my shredding trucks got a little hot last week, This was his first stop of the day so he only had a small amount of paper on board.

Had to bed a hammer mill shredder? Had several shred Techs catch on fire with us and the Old Shred Fast hammer mills were bad about it but never seen any of the other Shred fast trucks fire up.

Yeah 20 rolls. That's my buddies rig, he hauled 3 loads out Saturday with 20 rolls each trip back.

This is actually an Allegheny grinder truck, the first and last grinder truck I will purchase. The rest of my fleet is shred tech pierce and tear trucks along with shred fast collection trucks.

A grinder truck uses a ram and a large wheel with blades, it grinds the material until it is small enough to fit through a screen, this type of shredder works great for DOD spec material and Magnetic media but it is a pain for your normal paper shredding because it is so slow. Our grinder truck is for backup and magnetic media destruction only, The only problem is I have to use it often because the new emission Internationals seem to always break down.

Is it like the Vecoplan grinder trucks? It sounds like pretty much the same thing. Very slow trucks with having to grind the paper small enough to fit through the screen. If you ever have John from Shred Tech come down and do any Pms for ya tell him Craig from Cintas in Fairburn Ga said hey.

Is he the guy that jams out to his tunes all day doing the PMs? If so he had just started coming to the location doing some PMs before I left the company.

When we get ours stuck we wait for it to get dry. If we don't we end up with two stuck tractors haha
