Funnest thing I ever did in my life. Yes, 10 times more fun and rush than rock crawling. Miss that **** sooo fawking bad! :****:

I only did 2 track days, both time in the Novice class. I was one of the fastest both times though-- plenty fast enough for me. I didn't wanna wad my bike up in a corner. Haha

That's how you find your limits! haha. I didn't track my zx10r at first, was too scared of rashing it like you mentioned. So I bought a wrecked 02 GSXR 750, fixed everything on it, and tracked it my first couple trackdays. Very first trackday in Novice, the first two sessions are governed behind an instructor obviously. The 3rd session they point at you and wave you around to finally ride at your own pace. I wasn't used to that GSXR like I was my ZX10, lowsided on one of the last turns at Barber about 80mph before I even made a whole lap on my own haha. Went in too hot, body form was pitiful, peg hit, took pressure off the rear tire, and I went sliding across the tarmac about 80mph. Wasn't bad at all til I hit grass and started rolling. Barber's track is 45 ft wide, that was a lot of tarmac to cover before hitting grass, ole track suit got HOT and got a few small holes lol. Didn't even scratch my helmet though.

Ran a 1:01 at little tally :flipoff1:

I never did have a timer, but the guys I was hanging with that ran timers at Tally was like 1:06 - 1:08 times. However, I did ride with a guy that had one of the new model Ninja 250's when they just had came out that ran a 0:56 or 0:58, can't remember. It was in the 50 some odd seconds though, he was insanely quick in the corners on that little bastard. Of course he also had a ****load of money in suspension and brakes also.

I only done one weekend at Tally, riding in Intermediate, and that was also the first weekend I switched from Pilot Powers to Dunlop D209GP soft rubbers. It was like going from a TSL to a Red Labe BFG lol wish I had've went to DOT race tires long before that. I got to where I could predictably spin up a rear pilot power 2ct exiting corners before I switched. Such a rush!!! FACKING **** ****....all these memories!

This sweet ride showed up at my business this morning. Dude said you got to do what you got to do! loller.gif

Absolutly perfect example of what every white trash camaro wants to become, just needs a cb antenna. :****:
Please tell me the guy who brought it was wearing a wife beater and a #3 Nascar hat. That being said,
I'd drive the wheels off it,hell I'd probably park it in the front yard jacked up on cinder blocks when I wasn't using it. loller.gif

I gotta say the car was FLAWLESS. Yes, the JC Whitney catalog was thrown at it, but man was it perfect. Around here we call this look a "Vestal Lamborghini". (Vestal being the white-trash part of town) But yes, I'd drive the tahrs off of it and wouldn't change a thing! :****:

Just doing my part. Lol. Woman pulled out in front of me today. The ole' F250 sent the 4th car to it's no fault grave. Just glad the pregnant woman and baby in the car are ok. Her bumper is stuck between my tire and wheel. Broke the leaf spring and ripped the shackle hanger off the frame. The tire was the ONLY thing that contacted the car.
