Fan shroud on an LBZ is different that earlier models I believe. I found that out the hard way when I replaced my fan belt, idlers and tensioner. If a belt ever breaks on my truck you are not fixing it on the side of the road.
It's not that bad really, you don't have to remove the shroud to replace the belt, just the bracket on top. I put a belt and idlers on my lbz about a month ago

You think that broke way to easy, I got Toyota's with sticky tars and a 4.3, it will break just on thoughts of mashing your motor sometimes! I feel your pain bro!

My dad bought this Tracker a couple years ago. Came with the flame job. They're actually painted on there. Gets some funny looks but we think it's pretty cool.

I was thinking that was the Yukon joint!! Holy ****, haven't really ever checked Dana 44 stuff prices but I would Fukin puke breaking 550 dollar Joints, then the axles.. Fawkin shoot me. You know once every blue moon when you're at raising hell I could understand.. But some folks to go out and break **** every time I've got to be Either have way to much money or just have to much money.. When I look at that pile of parts all I think about is the money lost. Dammit man. Feel for you. That's why I'm pretty sure I'm going to get a set with a lifetime warranty, and hold Em to it if they break. What were u doin when it broke if Ya don't mind me askin.. Always curious for some reason when I see something like that.

I don't remember the shroud being a deal breaker. It is a PITA though. I'd love to see 45 min water pump replacement on a dmax, better be your 100th one. I've done one, and the second would be half as long, probably still 4 hours though on a second one. Hopefully never have to. I think I pulled the rad and everything (it was 8 years ago)
I bought the special tool kit from Snap On. It comes with a tool to hold flywhell a low profile socket, and then something else? All data said you had to remove starter and radiator and something off the side to get to a hidden bolt. You don't have too with the special tools. I swapped it real quick and didn't even lose but about a half a gallon of coolant.
