I wasn't directing it anywhere in particular. I just had a customer come in and spout off about ABC store prices and Wal Mart prices. I gave him accurate directions to all three stores and politely asked him not to return to my store.

My dad charged 25¢ to add a big ole slice of hoop cheese to biscuits at his little grill, some guy starts *****ing about Mcdees only charges 10¢ or some **** and pops just lost it. Asked him if Mcdees would do this and then pulled the cheese off and threw it at him, guy says "well I never" and turned to stomp out and pops busted the glass bottle of OJ the guy had sit on the counter against the door frame beside his head. Yelling that his breakfast was on the house today. Man I love small town USA!!

That's when I make them feel bad.
Them "You want that much for tires? Walmart is so much cheaper!"
Me "Yes, but since they can buy 10,000 at a time from Goodyear, they get them at a cheaper price, I can only buy a few from my supplier. Not to mention the fact that the guy installing them there most likely isn't a master technician, and since they don't do brakes they probably won't look at them and check out your suspension while the wheels are off. Did I mention that I can reset the tire monitor system as well, and replace any bad sensors you may have?....." and on and on and on.

Random question. Do you do out the door pricing? Our competition sells tires $20-25 cheaper but charges $30 worth of fees per tire. I price mine mounted, balance, tax and all and folks act stupid when I try to explain that.
