I found just the opposite. The window unit seem to do better for me. :dunno:

I think he was saying that he upgraded to a window unit and meant it gets hot without any AC since he has to keep the door down due to the bugs. Did sort of read like it was hot after the window unit.

I swear I need an interpreter for Kush's post. I would bet I've messed up at least 10 replies to him. molaugh

I had one of those. They work good. Then got window unit. Mother fuker it gets hot in my garage. Try to open a door and a million bugs flyin around all over you.

Yeah a window unit or three would be way better. But no windows in the garage. Thinking about cutting one in so I can get a window unit. Then I'll have a unit in each bay.

I just cut a hole in my wall to install a window unit. I don't like windows in the shop because people can see in.

I guess I'm just lucky or as some around here say damn your a high roller with a central heat and air in mine. But hey that's what I do so I got a 2 ton package gas setup in mine and it's nice on days like this :****:

Looks like your humidity isn't too bad. As they say out west "yeah it's hot, but it's a dry heat".

I always thought for a large shop you could put a reefer unit off a semi trailer in it. They can be bought sometimes pretty cheap used.

Hotter'n **** out there today. Sprayin roundup over at the ole lady's place in the ranger with makeshift tunes (Bose Soundlink mini) and a/c (DC powered fan).

Be thankful for what you have and always know it can be taken away at any time. My aunt and uncle lost their home yesterday. The whole family minus my brother is out of town. Luckily he was close enough to take our camper to stay in during this time of need.

I also cut a hole in mine during construction for a 220 ac/heat unit. I do have windows though. Blinds keep eyes out but plan on some metal bars too. I like the windows though.

The exact reason my garage has no windows. It is nothing more than a place for someone to climb into.

Hayul yeah, I didn't want any windows at all in my shop and a heavy duty entry door that opens to the outside. **** thieves!

That's the worst part of building an suv and actually wheeling it... you realize it's a heavy pig covered in breakables, and your choices are add lightness, or lots more heaviness!

Nick called it. She's 5500 lbs loaded up with a full tank, trying to get that down to around 4k. I'm just cutting a bunch of sheet metal out, make it like an f-toy with a firewall and 6' of floorpan. Still debating on relocating the battery and 7,000 wires and relays, and cutting everything in front of the firewall.
