I hate trees lol. I have to mow nearly 3 acres at her house and there's several big old trees that have a ****load of surface roots. Pisses me off. Yeah they shade, but there's always a ****load of new limbs to pick up/run over, and the roots are a mf'r to mow over/around. I could handle a few low maintenance trees I guess. The new house we are gonna buy has a little more trees than I'd like but I'm gonna leave em til they piss me off then break out the chainsaw.

I know one thing, those new mower blades and cleaned out deck cut 2.5 hours off mowing mine and her yard. Usually would have taken me about 6 hours to mow mine, loading up mower, going to her house, unloading, and mowing hers, and loading back up.....done it all in about 3.5 hrs today. And the grass was pretty high in both yards. I could actually run the mower full throttle today. It would barely bog any and cut really good. I knew it was cutting ****ty before, but didn't realize just how bad it was in need of new blades and a cleaning.

When you're about to change blades, drop the deck and hit em. Only gotta do it once.

They range anywhere from 3-6" wide and above ground 1-2". It'd take a helluva mower to knock em all down to where they were no longer a bother lol. Prolly tear my little Lowes John deere all to pieces.

I was thinking the same thing...but I do hate it when the roots are above ground...not so much for the blades hitting them but the ride quality goes to ****.

I clean under the deck every time I mow. Run it up on car ramps and scrape with a putty knife. Little extra time but mows better and keeps deck from rusting. Also we have quite a few trees and I leave most of the sticks in the yard if they are small. Much bigger than a pinky finger I will pick up but the small ones will also chop up and knock some of the grass build-up out from under the deck. If you maintain the blades the slight dulling from small limbs won't amount to much.

Do they blow goats compared to a stickie tire or a normal tsl sx tire?

Normal SX, or TSL. They are super hard. Similar compound to the 40 LTB if you are familiar to it.

Those stamped decks are junk. They break the mounting brackets off all the time. When I worked at John Deere the mower Utys would stop me from what I was doing to weld every one of them back on because I was the only person there that could weld. I've put every one of them back on my neighbors mower. Make sure the next one has a thick fabricated deck.

Funny, I just finished rebuilding my wife's grandfather's John Deere mower and had to weld the deck mounting bracket back on it the other week. I know it's a lower end riding mower but it is still so much better than my old Huskee MTD wanna be.

Re:

Lol....it's dodge thing.

You carry a parts truck and to replace broke **** on the puller....and a trailer to put the pieces that fall off.

Weird. I welded my neighbor down the roads John deer not to long ago.. Yep. He came by the house. After he left got to talkin to someone and we looked and found out hes been to prision for 8 years a wile back .. Registered sex offender. And boy did he get charged with some serious ****... Man , and he seemed like a super nice guy. We talked bout church and God, he seemed sincere ... Which sucks. Casue if he comes back to my house It will more than likely sincerely be the last time he ever looks my way. FAWK! Who can ya trust these days? lemme go on and answer that.. NOONE. Smh.
