I'll start a build thread this weekend when I get the chance. Don't believe I already have one here. It's still xj from the front to right behind the front factory seats/ b pillar area. My plan was to front half it as well during its hiatus in the garage but my friends decided we should go to Moab so I've had to postpone that for a while. Going to enjoy it as is for a while.

The shifter is an older style RAD Designs shifter. I can't remember the model as they have a few different kinds. I'm running the AW4 trans so when I get it completely wired in how I want it, I'll be able to manually select what gear I want from just the Drive position without using 1-2,3. There is a thread on NAXJA called "everything you ever wanted to know about the AW4" written by a friend of mine that gives a little more detail into how it all works. Basically you have 3 solenoids in the trans. 2 solenoids then what they label the transmission solenoid which is just locking the torque convertor. In 1st gear one will be on one will be off, in 2nd both will be on, 3rd one off one on, OD both off. TC has to be locked in 3rd and overdrive. 2nd gear is unavailable without some means of electronic shifting. The shifter just used 2 12v inductive próxes to read a sleeve on the selector shaft of the RAD shifter after its wired in to the factory harness. You can use it with the factory TCM or separately. I've cut down a lot of interior harness so I just have this shifter.

Sounds good on a build thread. Curious to see how you tied the Unibody into the tube work. Really liking this setup and hopefully will get to check it out in person one day.
