I know extreme acids and extreme bases will dissolve aluminum. We used bleach or sulfuric acid to remove color from parts while anodizing. Let it sit too long in either and it would basically strip the anno and then pit the aluminum. If I remember right, oven cleaner is a strong base. It might even contain lye. I'd keep it away from bare metal, except maybe stainless, as well as anything with an oxide coating. Maybe it will be fine on clear coat. No matter what, it's probably gonna have to wait until the end of the weekend.poolman said:Wouldn't it damage a aluminum wheel??????
