I have mine invested in the premix 2050 plan through our company's financial advisor group. It is distributed out into several different stocks/bonds, I don't choose them individually. Someone much smarter than myself does that. The 2050 means the year you plan on retiring. It's more aggressively invested than say the premix 2030 plan. I used to keep it in stable value fund which is like a safe savings account with little to no gains/losses. But since I swapped it to premix 2050 a couple years ago, it's done pretty well. Much better than if left in stable value fund. It took a big loss last year, then in a month or two, gained it back and then some. I know it's something you aren't supposed to check everyday, most just try to forget it's even there, but I like to keep an eye on mine. I guess it's sort of like gambling....and I like gambling.
