Hardline Crawlers - Rock Bouncer Builds, Tech & Off-Road Trail Talk

Help Support Hardline Crawlers:

When you go to Downtown Brewery and forget your wallet in the car you get... water. I ended up sneaking some of Blake's samples.

Also thought it was cool, they had Gay St blocked off for construction, that's wee feller sitting in the middle of the road. Just unusual considering how busy it normally is.

I hope the car was an awful long way away. I'd walk my happy ass a good long distance to go back and get it before I did without a good craft beer straight from the brewery. Lol

That purple and white one used to be on lake James in Angola Indiana. I’ve been watching for it all summer and hadn’t seen it.

Don't think it's the same one, that boat has been on lake Guntersville for the last 15 years or better.

Probably someone who owns they’re own crating business and was too busy at the lake to make sure it was done right. ;D :stir:

By long way away, I meant like 20 miles across town at the house and you rode to downtown with someone. I 100% would have walked my one legged ass all the way back for that wallet. Lol

Is that a SHO? Know very little of them or if they even came in that car, but is that a period correct taurus?

judging by bumpers and ground effects, I'd say it's a legit SHO car, but could be wrong. Dad used to buy cars from insurance auctions back in the day and bought one like that that was dark green. Probably belonged to some black dude in Atlanta, had the baddest ass sound system in it I ever heard at that time. It would fly too for a gay looking family sedan. Lol

Re:

This looks like the one dad had, looks newer than that one. Pic said this one is a 92 model. The wheels that came on this model were similar to the factory 93 cobra mustang wheels.

I never really looked into what made the engines special til now, although I remember exactly what they looked like. I was just too young to know or care much back then. They are Yamaha built engines, wiki says capable of turning 8500 rpms (in the 2nd gen SHO's). The old beater pictured above is a first gen SHO. Wiki also noted the 92's, first year of the 2nd gen did not have a rear spoiler. Dad's had a rear spoiler so it was apparently a little later model. Maybe a 94 or so. 94 doesn't seem like that long ago, til I count up that it was 24 yrs ago! Damn, cars have came a long way in a relatively short time.

Yup it’s a legit sho. That’s his second one, he beat the first one to death doing enduro racing, those cars ran pretty darn good for the day.

Just a little fun fact, they built a few ford festivas with a sho power plant. One bad ass little car https://youtu.be/3XR9SoQU16c

Sorry it took so long to reply, my phone doesnt always let me post.

I keep it above 7k on the track and sometimes bounce above 8k (end of the tach) only thing left of the 90 is the engine, its never missed a beat. But i did spit a carrier pin out the bottom of the trans.
