Got the new tires delivered today. Got them mounted up. And tore into the motor.....putting a different intake, carb, valve covers and electronic ignition system on it. Hoping to finish it up tomorrow and take it for a test drive.

Yeah right.....although I do wish that I could swap in a late model HEMI. But I don't have big money like some on here.....maybe one day. What little bit I got to drive this thing around before I tore into it, it's pretty dang peppy......I'm interested to see how it runs with the new parts I'm throwing at it. I've got to swap out the starter tomorrow, it's been sitting so long the starter locked up.

Been a little over a month, just got the cast off,hobbling on an air cast now trying to get work done. Swelling like a tick at night.

To follow up on this, I have been wearing the air cast during the day/working, and walking around in the house with the air cast off...Here is the progression. The doc said "do not walk at all with the boot/air cast off at all". I am/was supposed to get the ok to walk without it on Dec 12. Well, I work ,so the boot got dirty/muddy/cow ****ty so I took it off when in the house, and walked in the house without it. Crutches ****ing suck so I quit using them in the house as soon as I could and started walking on it unassisted. Leg was/is feeling better so today I quit the air cast entirely. I couldn't fit my foot in my regular boots, so I used some old lace ups I had. 44 days after surgery I can walk with a limp without an air cast. ****er still swelling like a tick but really not much pain.
