Agreed there. I know Ultra4 racer Loren Healy ran carbon driveshafts for a couple of races and blew up a couple of them before switching.

I could see it for IFS but even then, a rock getting in there between it and the chassis would be bad if it didn't have a thin aluminum sleeve or something.

i started to say that, but then I remembered the BII was Ranger based, and the 90s ones with the v6, D35 TTB/8.8 rear were actually respectable as far as micro truck based vehicles go.

Those are no good for rock crawling, if it gets dinged it will break. I have one for my street car, payed $100 extra for lifetime replacement.
