I know some ORV areas design the trails to be drivin in a specific direction. I was curious if any of the reiter trails are "one way only". Now some like issabelle are clear, you go up then come down, but the loops , some seemed tuff to get two rigs through, at the same time. I havent run into much traffic on a tuesday but how about on the weekends. Do you guys run them in certain direction?

Most trails it does not matter. Usually Cable, rhino, TOD and maybe one other get run from the bottom up.

trials like short&dirty are downhill only. ive never ran it, but have heard theres a GOOD reason for that.

sorry, thats not at Reiter. just a trail over here that is 1 direction only.

Thaught blue slide was down hill only as well.

Most all the trails at reiter are ran in the uphill direction but they can and often are ran both directions it is pretty much a free for all out there...

you can do what ever you want at reiter. pass folks, run both ways, make new trails, bypasses, whatever.

its not like elbe or evans where there are RULES.:booo:

Treading Lightly comes to mind. :booo: Perhaps some sinage is in order. :eeek:

Just follow the designated trails, there is PLENTY of room, and yes, most trails are run uphill for increased 'difficulty'.

You can not make new trails.

Bypasses are frowned upon.

There are rules and guidelines at Reiter Trails......please follow them accordingly.

ever wheeled with me? no. you keep telling me to `come up north, well come down to elbe. just seems your local DNR land is ALOT different than our DNR land.:corn:

just seems reiter doesnt work like the rest of the states orv areas. sounds like a free for all from what i read. not like the rest of the areas to wheel in the state. but then again Im a moron.
why dont you guys wheel anywhere else? oh yeah, there are rules elseware. :booo:
never seen a witchhunt from reiter trails before.:awesomework:

:eeek:

JK kat you had it right. :awesomework: Jim and some of the other old guys haven't notice all the maps the last 10 years call 621, Blue Slide.

Maps:haha: Check the next one and it will be differant. Its called grey creek by us "old timers' because of the creek at the bottom end. Blue slide was a "trail" that went down to blue lake. More like a slide for life on the shale but long ago closed by the FS due to idiots trying to go up it :booo:

Tomato tamato its the trail #s that matter since everyone seems to have their own names for things anyway:eeek:

Well the old timers should not correct people that have the name right by the Forest Service maps. Good way to confuse people. These names are not new.

Check what next one? All say the same or just a number. I don't have a map from 1960.

ooooo I guess you told me :booo: You wouldnt want to see a map from the 60s it would just make you cry to see what we have lost since then:booo:

One thing with Reiter is it is not a ORV park yet. We still have rules that need to be followed. Some people just think that because it is not an ORV park that they can do whatever. I have wheeled Evans, Walker, and Elbe. All great areas but Reiter does have more to offer is way of trails. Just my 2cents.
