RV covers

I am looking at getting a cover for my motorhome the problem I am having is there are so many to choose from. So I am wondering who has what and the pros and cons. :beer:

Save your money. They trap moisture under and wind will cause the cover to be hard on the finish of your RV.

You dont want to put a cover over the motorhome!!! Get a tin stlye carport with the floor rails!!! That way the moss ( green tree slime) pine needles.. N water stays off it for the most part.. But it lets the motorhome breath...Ill ask the old man the types hes seen!!:awesomework:

The best thing you could do is put roof over it like stated above, but a good Adco or camco cover allow it to breath!

Nto disagree with the carport alternative advice, but.....

If you decide you still want a cover, maybe look at hay trailer covers.

My ol ladies family owns a hay trucking and sales bizz. They have some very nice heavy duty hay tarts that are fitted to cover a trailer of hay (about the same size a motorhome). They have different lengths for different trailers.

The tweekers are always trying to steal them cuz they are such a nice cover.

But I think a carport over it would be better.

I think were going to go with a large carport. I will probably build one this year for my pickup and the wifes chariet and if I have the money get the rv one done too.:beer:

I tried the Adco crap and it don't work. Still had moisture. That is why I now have the tin car port. I went with 12ft wide and should have gone more!

RV covers are NOT designed to keep the moisture out. They breathe, which means the moisture will come through it and then evaporate. A tarp will just collect condensation underneath it and not let it escape. A cover does a better job of keeping dust, debris and UV rays off of your RV. 90% of the tome, the problems with covers is improper use. They need to be properly tightened on the coach to prevent billowing, which causes the cover to move on the coach and rub holes through it.
FWIW, my trailer is a 98 and has never been covered.
