So for the last couple years I abused a RZR 800 S within an inch of its life. There was never a time when the throttle wasn't wide open. It did okay, but you had to drive it hard to make it go anywhere. It was about as built as an 800 could be short of engine mods. Just wasn't enough. I made the call to sell it and start over with an (almost) new XP1000. I put a build together in my head of the best parts I could think of for this trail 1000. I fortunately live close to one of the best fabrication off-road shops in the southeast, Wide Open Design. They have another company called Wide Open SXS ( Home | Wide Open SXS ), specializing in race-quality parts for RZRs. I called them up and planned the build with them and began gathering parts. Coolest part is this will be the first RZR featured in Petersen's 4 Wheel & Off-Road magazine!
