sas tracker questions.

O k so i did an sas on a tracker for a buddy. We used a lancruiser front end and a wide track toyota rear both with 411 gears. My question is would it be at all possible to putt a sammy t-case behind the tracker case if i took the stock rear tracker drive line and cut it super short welded a the end of a sammy final drive d-line to it and bolted it up to a sammy case? hes on a major budgett and really needs lower gears.

Short answer is no.

If you leave the front output of the sidekick case there, the front d-shaft from the sammy case will hit it, you have to modify the sidekick case to eliminate the front output, or run a 2wd sidekick trans, and single sammy case (which gives you high range reduction) - in reality I'm sure 4:1's from a sammi case are cheap to find used also.

I had already thaught about finding a 2wd tracker tranny and using a sammy case. I just dont know how hard its gonna be to find such tranny.

They are out there, start calling wreckers, post wanted ad's on local boards C.L. etc...

We have sold a few over the years.
