Every 2nd sat of each month, 9:00 am main lot, DNR holds their work parties...I got a call from Kim, and they need a few rigs with winches to help out with block some rogue trails/bypasses that have been discovered in recent weeks....
ANY AND ALL HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!! Thanks in advance....:awesomework:
Also, it has been brought to my attention that until repair can be done to a particular section in the first leg of the Lower Main Line, it has been closed....the mudhole spot where it cuts hard left up the hill not too far past the bridge (gr8wing has affectionately called this spot 'u-joint hole'!!!:haha:<--he lost a front Dshaft joint on two fifferent occasions in this same spot!!!)...So anyone with a truck able to get there to help harden it would be great!!! :awesomework:

If you got a seat I"ll show up and be a slave!! :haha::awesomework:

you guys should stop by the NB rest stop in Bow off I-5 on the way back. Say 'hi' to some fellow RRR's! :awesomework:

Apparently the boys up north are going to a meeting with the DNR on the 9th....sounds like they want to get involved on a club-wide level, we'll see what happens.

I plan on being at the meeting on the 9th and helping on the 13th if needed. Have winch, will travel. :redneck: And I think DNR should know that if they schedule Reiter work parties they should try to avoid the same day as Walker ones. I would like to be at both of them.

I realize that, I was more thinking maybe the Reiter ones could be planned on alternate weekends from these. But then again we had a great turnout last time so this might not affect them as much as I think.

Yup:awesomework:...There are LOTS of people/users out there...If even just 10% of folks out there using the areas came out to help out with all the efforts, it'd make a huge impact on the areas as far as maintenance goes...It does sound like some folks from Whidbey Island are gonna make an effort to help out on this one... It will get increasingly difficult as the months go by, as the $$ is depleting very quickly...:booo: Talked about this last night at the club meeting...By the end of March is the projection...Need to come up with alternative sources (ie: material donations), which will be especially tough in today's economy...

What kind of "material" is needed? Are we talking rock/gravel? A yard of 1 1/8 w/ binder goes for about $30 around here...a few guys with a truckload each can fill some holes pretty quickly/easily.

Yeah, that kind of stuff...but we are talkin' about filling neccessary holes with biger stuff...stuff that makes it more challenging than a hiwway...:;
