Born and raised in Huntsville and still live here. Never lived anywhere else in my life. I work all over Huntsville and surrounding counties on a lot of construction and land development projects so I've seen it all. The inner city areas to stay away from are north and west Huntsville. The older 5 points area is very popular as its close to downtown scene. I live in south Huntsville and love it. Madison (suburb of Huntsville) is a great little city with top notch schools. If you want to be in the county I'd look at hazel green, new market, harvest, east limestone county, Owens cross roads, new hope, Gurley most of those are little communities in Madison county on the outskirts of Huntsville. You can also look in guntersville, union grove, Arab, Lacey's springs these are in surrounding counties. All of these communities are sitting 20min of downtown. I would choose wisely based on location of your work and how close you want to be to it. PM me if you have any questions or anything. Hit me up if you are looking at some land and I'll help you out on land info (surveying info, flood etc.)
