scrapping a truck 2wd toyota 1982, how much do I need to cut this thing up?
I have read that some older vehicles (over 20years) dont need a ***le...
Anybody up to date on this stuff. I dont want to be turned away when I show up with a trailer load.
Also anybody know who is paying the most...
Arrow metals (woodinville) was .07 cents a lb
Mukilteo scrap is at about .05 cents a lb.
I am calling everett in the AM...
Thanks for the help

The place I go over here everything needs to be cut up smaller than the hood, firewall cut in half and the frame cut into 5' lengths.

Call wherever you decide to go and see what they need. But yeah, factor the cost to cut the **** up into it too. One of those times that having a gas demo/chop saw pays off.

I use that place out in Lake Stevens, I think its NWAutoRecycle and they do it no problem if you have a business lic. I am on file there so I can take any auto parts or whole cars with no hassle. Let me know if you need help with anything Dave.

call the non emergency police line. tell them you need a junk vehicle affidavit. cop will come sign off on it and you want (I dont remember) around a week or so from the date the cop signed it and you can scrap it complete with no ***le

Im just going to smash it flat after I cut it up. Took half of it there today and will chunk the rest up this week. Thanks Nic for the offer.

Where did you end up taking it and what is the price right now? I have a load to take also.

everett recycling is $140 a ton
your nw auto I think advertising 140 a ton
arrow metal/ schnitzer was $140 a ton.
Those are the prices I found...

I was just at they one in Woodinville least week and asked about car steel and he said $140 for cars and $150 "prepared" car steel. He said "prepared" means no tires and a hole in the oil pan, rear end, tranny pan and the lower radiator hose cut.
