Broke out the 1920 tonight. It's good. Hot, but good. Strong caramel on the nose for me. After little ice in the glass it opened up quite a bit. A strong smell of fruit and nuts came along with the vanilla and caramel. The wife got a lot of the vanilla. For a 115 proof bourbon I think it is pretty smooth. I like it more than the EW Single Barrel for sure.

I guess the wife is stocking up in preparation for a lockdown. She has brought home several new bottles for the collection this week.

Four Roses Small Batch Select and Blade and Bow one day.

Old Fo 1897, Michters Small Batch, Woodford Double Oak, and Bulleit Blenders Select today. Guess I've got something to occupy the time.

A friend gave me a bottle of that Blade and Bow and I really like it. I'm no connoisseur by any means, my beer of choice is PBR, but it beats the Wild Turkey I usually drink.

I went to Bardstown yesterday to pick up a couple of unicorns from a buddy. I already had the red and green label Weller. He was able to get his hands on the white, black, and blue labels. Only wanted $40 for each so it was a great deal i couldn't pass up. Having those three will finish my collection of Weller. Needless to say, they will remain sealed and placed in the display cabinet. If I ever fall on hard times they will go up for sale. I've seen the white label sell for as much as $700 a bottle so it should make a good investment if the bottom doesn't fall out of the bourbon market.

Start shipping south. I have not opened my 107 but the sr is legit. I have heard the weller is the stuff that dont make orvw or pvw cut.

I have heard the same. Its the same mash bill and all of Buffalo Trace barrels are a #4 char. They may even store in the same wharehouse but I am not certain on that.

My buddy is a delivery driver for a certain distributor in the area. He has some really good relationships with store owners and can come across some great bourbons at times. If I can get some duplicates of what I already have, I will try to get some to ya.

I walked into a random store in town (Chattanooga) to grab some ***o's and just happened to ask if they had any put back and the guy said he thought he had one left on the shelf. Was just sitting on display of their better stuff in the middle of some fancy Patron and some expensive ass vodka from overseas. I think I need the B and the S still.

Which store? One close to my house, Vine and Barrel, usually has it or can get it pretty quick if you ask. I would have a horse but my niece really wanted it so she has it.

Been trying some of the newer bourbons that have been popping up on store shelves lately.

Dry Fly 101: Probably the best I've found lately for sipping. Reasonable price.
10th Mountain Bourbon: Really smooth and great taste. Little on the expensive side.
Anything from Leatherwood Distillery (Nashville local) has been undrinkable.
