I had the tierod mounted above the springs to begin with and had the steering ram mounted differently. The ram was attached to the tierod with a clamp and I was always having to adjust the tierod because it wanted to roll over. The jam nuts would come loose. I decided to connected the ram directly to the steering arm and with it set up that way, the ram and the tierod would hit when turning when they were both above the springs. That is why I mounted the tierod where it is. I thought about getting the Artec arms to raise the tierod. The few times the truck has been on the trail, the tierod location has not been a issue.
