The half treads were made for more traction. The full lugs of all soft compound tires fold over and wear mostly on the front edge. The shorter tread has less leverage to fold over. So the treads surface maintains contact with the rock. Short treads are to regular red labels as red labels are to street tires. You don't have to wait for them to break in to get in their prime. They are badass right out of the box.

Black rock 8 is the model. And they have 3.5" back spacing.

How much for just the wheels? Your other wheels won't work but these are the right backspace.
