not bashing on jeep owners but there is some dumb people out there.

got a trade in this week on a 06' wrangler.

went to test drive it for the safety inspection....

thing is wooped, 6speed grinds into every gear, tires shake like crazy, clanky driveline ujoints, exhaust leaks, rattles everywhere yada yada....

now the best parts, first the tires are 33x12.5s, on stock lift with stock rims, they rub BAD when full lock. and then i put it into 4low on the wet pavement, wanted to check for any binding, lowed noise etc.

thing hopes jumps and barks with the pop of the clutch, wtf??

so bring it in rack it up. and take a look at the axles...3.07s in the front, and a traclok 3.73 in the rear :haha:

had what looked like a junkyard axle swapped into the rear, not sure why but it made my day seeing that.

Why do you think he was trading it in? Who's the dumbass here?

Every dealership will take anything on trade. Provided it can be bought for the true ACV (actual cash value) and has a free and clear ***le.

The trade allowance value may be a completely different story altogether.

And this jeep is far from the worst stuff I've seen, driven & appraised.

Normally, (whomever) appraised that vehicle will have caught most of the problems with the vehicle, and valued it accordingly.

agree completely, and yes ive seen worse, the cash for clunkers brought in some good laughs.

i just got a good laugh with the mismatch gearing, dont get **** like that going on with subaru owners.

I had gears and ARB's installed at a shop and they did the same thing. They had 4.56 in the rear and 3.73 in the front.

:eeek: seems like a new suby owner you may be bashing there? I've seen plenty of interesting **** with Subaru owners myself. Usually the owners themselves tho:puke::rb:

Ha ha ha! You should check out the subaru owners in Olympia.....:rb::rb::rb:
