I didnt get why they did that, why not start with a dragnov? better caliber, and already 500 meter capable... Course that wouldnt make good TV.

I'm curious, what that modification did to the reliability of the gun, typically accuracy and reliability do not go hand in hand. The tighter you make tolerances in a gun, (which you have to in a long range rifle like that) they become more vulnerable to grit and grime getting into the action and causing a malfunction. That is one thing that makes the AK platform so reliable in the mud and sand is its loose tolerances, which is why they are inaccurate.

Depends what you consider accurate. They are exactly as accurate as they were designed to be. I know mine will hit a person sized target at 100 yards, and I've hit much smaller at that distance reliably.

Honestly, my old but n.i.b. chinese sks could hit a beer can at 100 paced yards. once out of five shots. With wolf ammo and my cousin shooting. I think I hit it once in seven rounds.
