I need to find a place that sells steel retail. Farwest is close but the have a $200 minimum and I got the impression they dont want to deal with small time chumps like me. Any one have a place?

steel like box and plate or round tubing?

If round tubing then hit up Anthony at XO offroad.

If "other" hit up floyds/interwest metals in fife.

VERY hard to belive that Marmom is selling to the public at $2.90 a ft. What was the quanitie ordered?

Chainsaw-send me a PM with what you need. I have lots of material and am always in that direction of town.

Yeah I was gonna contact you again for some round tube. But I also need a source for other things as well, and I usually like to just run in and grab stuff and not have to make orders.

I have a lot of material in stock-usually need to order when people are placing large orders (200ft or so)

there is also specialty metals in kent next to where boeing surplus use to be.

Its not that much farther to drive but hit up Burning Specialty's in Seattle. They are off of Michigan and 4th or 5th. Great to deal with and cheap!!

Me and a friend are getting a stick of 2x4x1/4 and a sheet of 1/4" plate from farwest. What are you trying to get?

Were already over $200

Specialty Metals in Kent, off Orilla road.

Probably not the cheepest but if you become a regular the salesman/saleswomen will recognise you and start giving you discounts.

They are probably the most service oriented metal supplier around i know of.

Stopped in and saw them. Nick the kid behind the counter was cool. They didnt have the peice I was looking for but he took my number and actually called me back!!!:awesomework:

Stopped in and saw them too (I made an afternoon of driving around checking places out) but frankly there inventory was pathetic, BUT they are open on saturday! So if some thing is needed thats good.
