Stock Market - Robinhood App

Recently got interested in stocks again, started using Robinhood. Pretty cool as they don’t charge fees/commissions.

I had a TDAmeritrade account 10 years ago but never really got too interested in it back then, plus I never invested enough to overcome the trading fees and such. and never used any of their resources. Robinhood is just a no frills transaction broker.

I figure this “at your finger tip gambling” would be right up some folks alley

Anything y’all like investing in? Resources you use for research?

it's been pretty fun doing some research into how it all works.

I could see wanting an app/brokerage with more features if you were trading 1000's of dollars and wanted to utilize things like limits and options.

Kinda makes you realize what a racket the stock market is too. molaugh

A little. I'm almost day trading on go pro. Have you looked at the gold version yet that allows you to have a margin account? Trades are free but there is a cost for gold. It has after hour trading, etc.

I have a nadex account that I wanna learn more about. There is a play account and real account within nadex.

Badass ! Co worker got into this app and several others followed suit. My question is this. Have any of you taken proceeds back out of it ? The guys I know lost all thier cash. Granted the chose poorly and gambled heavy on some Railroad industry crap. But just curious to hear of ANYONE taking money back out of it.

I didn't realize that cannibis companies could be publicly traded yet. That's awesome that they are and would be a good investment because it's only a matter of time before people realize how dumb the war on drugs is and then more states will have booming weed economies like the states that have legalized it recreationally.

I have. No issues.

co worker has been trading weekly/daily with a much larger amount of cash that I have in it, basically using his "play money" stash to speculate and make an extra $50-$100 week by catching the little bumps in stock prices.
Not really worth it to me to spend the time/risk the capital to do that, but he's having fun with it I guess.

You will get one free share of a random stock, and you can but some stocks as cheaply as 8 cents a piece with no minimums and no fees. It really is the greatest app I have ever seen
