Stock TH400/208 Adapter for Atlas II?

I am getting mixed information on this.

I pulled a TH400 from a CUCV. This is the "HD" version. Would a person be able to use the stock TH400-to-208 adapter to put an Atlas behind that transmission?

I bet you could. I say that because I have used the TH350 - NP208 adapter to put an Atlas behind a TH350. Only one hole needed to be elongated slightly. But I have never done it with a TH400 so I can't say for sure. Sorry I'm not more help.

The best part was that it clocked the Atlas up flat using the stock holes so it should do the same for you.

Are the adapters the same for pass or driver drop?? Just wondering, seams i temember the holes being non symetrical?

They're pretty damn close because on the buggy I built after I did the TH350 / Atlas I used the same NP208 adapter to mate a Ford NP205 to the TH350.
