Ok kelly got this used kit for his ZY and its missing parts which is no biggy. But for right now(my brain is still waking up--to bed at 1am and up at 5am to pull the t-case) I need to know if anybody has done this to a 241 t-case? The new output cover is "geep bayou" and the new main shaft looks to be an AA shaft form what I have been able to figure out on the net. In any case the first thing--does anybody know what size nut it is that retains the new output yoke to the new output shaft?(missing).

And also from the looks of new output housing the shift fork where it goes into the new output housing will need to be ground down? Does this sound right?

do you mean the shift fork shaft? if so its probaly similar to the 231(i'd-imagine) so yup grind' er down so it doesnt bottom out on the new housing.
as far as the bolt size dont know, im still looking for one for my 231 shaft:mad:

oK--PERFECT thats what I though. you basically remove the portion that origionally rides on the vacuum switch...

vacuum switch thing i dont remember. but if once its all together and putting the new (shorter) housing on if the shift shaft bottoms out on the housing , you can mic measure the depth of the housing and grind the shaft accordingly
also i think you can down load install guides from advanced adapters

from what I remember, the shift shaft is too long for the new housing.
I don't think there is any vacuum switch's right there.

I have the nut from my SYE kit for the 231....forgot to send it when i sold the kit. I can bring it to the meeting tonight
