Synthetic winch line?

Rog, I don't know what Scott's title is, I am pretty sure that he is the PIC of the field workers. All I know is when I don't get what I need just gotta give him a call and **** gets done. He also use to be the HarborMaster for the Port of Dutch Harbor if there are any other fishermen on here.

Ya i know for sure this guy is 1 of 3 dockmasters in the state of washington, but he is also battleing cancer so he does a lot from home over the phone right now, and i havent seen him in a while:booo:

I have been thinking about replacing whats left of my cable (about 130') with 150 of 5/16 rope. I just do not know where to go to get it and get it for a good price. I have estimates between 299 and 379 or so.

If your around seattle go to Seattle Marine, 2121 W. Commodore Way.

The 5/16" is $1.11/ft just bought some a couple of days ago. Then the thimble and stud are a couple of dollars on top of that.

Good to know..

...I was quoted ~$1.40/ft for 3/8" Amsteel Blue from Redden Marine in Bellingham.

Do you think 5/16" is strong enough/enough "extra" strength/thickness for offroad use?
