I have seen tires grooved in several different patterns. Is it just a try and see or is there a general rule to it. I saw a post where someone cut some irocs and said it helped them a lot. Just curious what is the deciding factor on which lugs to cut?

I was going to just cut the small lugs on mine but made a miss lick and lobbed a big one on the rear and made the Diagnal cut. I was sick at the time but after riding them glad I did. My fronts I made sure it get the small lugs. There's pictures on "recommend me some tires thread". If I had another set I would cut them the same way

yeah that thread evolved quite well from some dumbass (ME) wanting a recommendationon on tires to a sticky tire pissin match to a tire grooving thread! Alot of good tech in there!
