TJ heater fan only works on high

Heater fan only works on high in my 03 TJ. Whats the real cure for this? New resistor? I have heard of some people doing some rewiring. I have not looked at it to see if the switch melted yet. Has anyone dealt with this?

More than likely it is the resistor since the high speed setting is the only setting that does not go through the resistor.

yep, thats what i was thinking.

it should be mounted IN the airbox. mounts from the outside of the airbox, but the resistor coils should be facing INside.

altho, ive never actually messed with one on a jeep.

A resistor fixed mine a year ago, 3200 mile later it needs another one.
