Torque outta the 22r

haha way to use your head:flipoff:

anyways 22r's don't really make torque that is why they make gears sets and have a crawl ratio of over 200 in some cases,(to make up for lake of torque) buy a torque cam/intake/exhaust... how much money are you going to drop on this turd? save your money and go 4.3:awesomework:

drill a bunch of holes in your flywheel:redneck:

Or do it right and go to the exact opposite end and use a 20 r flywheel. It's added mass helps on the bottom end. A crawler cam from engnbldr.com is a great choice too. Otherwise keep it pretty close to stock and it will pull nicely.

Put a bunch of stickers on it and on the truck it always helps those guys with the dodge cummins get ungodly amounts of power and torque

just through a cam at it valves and springs mill the head down a bit and clean up the ports

most of all do the gears t case and diffs

Other posts are good. There are viable options though. The Delta torque cam will improve the down low torque substantially. And for a fraction of the cost of engnbldr.

We sell cams, oversized valves, dual spring kits and timing sets(both steel and plastic guides) for these motors.

If your truck is carbed then a Weber would be in order or a FI swap. Even using a 20R head on your 22R bottoom end will provide more power. Lots of ways to go without doing an engine swap. A swap can sometimes be the right answer though depending on your budget and time frame.

heavy weight flywheel, centerforce dual friction clutch, try-y header, 2 1/4in exhaust, delta 260 cam, offenhauser dualport intake and weber 32-36, and low range t-case gears, won't rev past 4K but just drop the clutch and steer
