tow rig tranny

Looking to find the best place to eather buy a rebuit TH-400/short shaft/4x4 tranny or have mine rebuilt from the tow rig, its starting to act funny ?????:eeek:

Is it slipping or whats it doing?

Make sure it's not just a modulator gone wonky. Mine went from shifting funny to hauling a 5th wheel over Steven's Pass and back with just a new modulator and a can of STP oil treatment in the trans. (the smoke from the valve cover oil leak on the 454 was nearly too much for me to take though!)

:eeek:The tranny is not going into reverse/slipping, when in Drive it shifts from 1st to 2nd then it takes a while for it to hit 3rd...when cold ........after it gets warm, the tranny shifts into reverse better but still not like it should, and when in drive goes from 1st to 2nd then a little quiker gets to 3rd....
Fluid level is good,fluid doesn't smell burnt.....:eeek: any hints????? never worked on a TH-400 before...:redneck:
