Toyata rear ifs axle swap ?

So I'm wanting to swap in 86 4runner ifs rear axle into my 85 4runner (still leafs all around) from what i understand(if I'm correct??)I'll gain 1.5 inches of clearance on both sides, and wanting to know if you have the move the spring perches on the ifs rear axle or will they work as they are I'd rather do that than spacers to gain the clearance I want and need might take pics and do a build thread for others wanting to do

I think they are the same location all the way up to a 96 axle. But if not just cut and move.

Been done a million times. Spring perches are same width. Rock on!

ya i would think the perches are the same since it still the same frame

What about the gear ratio. Im assuming that the difference 4.10/4.11 wouldn't matter.
