Trail gear 4.7 kit

I broke the 4.7 TG input in the rear case on mine not long ago. It had a hard life, I put toy gears back in it and run both cases in low now unless im cruising.

Truth^^^ he ain't nice to it!

I was thinking of going 5.29 in the ring&pinion and running 228 in both cases. I feel like the stock gears are stronger than TG. I have buddies running 43 stickies with 228/228 and not broke anything yet. Or just put an automatic in it. Trying to have a crawl ratio still.

That's what I run/ran for 5+ years no failures.. now I run 5.13s in the tons.
I've been happy with the gear selections.

And this is the reason I sold my Toyota cases and going to a Atlas for my new build, for what it cost for all the adapters and gears, and good input and output shafts, you can buy a atlas and be done!

Then my assumption is if you break the spud shaft between the cases, you're dead in the water right ?

Nay, not yet. Just washed and put it up. Haha I figured the next morning I would at least
