Trail Gear Trail Safe™ Knuckle Ball Wiper Seal

Tired of wiping big clumps of dirty sandy grease off of your knuckle balls after every trip? So are we. We asked our engineering department to look at the problems with the OEM design along with what was currently offered on the market and they came up with a one-piece, high grade polyurethane seal that is durable and will give you a lifetime of dependability.
Trail Safe™ Knuckle Ball Wiper Seals are without a doubt the best in the industry. No other design is comparable in performance and quality.

The Trail Safe™ Knuckle Ball Wiper Seal is a double sided seal that keeps grease in and dirt out, all while eliminating the use of the OEM felt and rubber. Since it is made from seal-grade polyurethane, not UHMW, the seal is pliable enough to stretch over the knuckle ball during installation. This eliminates the need to cut the seal for installation which allows water to enter the knuckle ball and for grease to escape.

Trail Safe™ Knuckle Ball Wiper Seals are sold in pairs with our legendary Rock Rings. One kit will complete one axle.

Tacoma Universal Rear Bumper Kit

Somewhere along the evolution of a Rock Crawler your pickup bed is bound to get removed. The Tacoma Universal Rear Bumper Kit will help you finish the job right. Designed to weld across your frame rails, this kit provides strength, utility, and a clean look. We started with a piece of 3 ½” x 2 ½” x .120” wall A-36 rectangular tubing, and 6.25” receiver tube. Also included are a 1/4” thick receiver gusset, and two 3/16” steel plate end caps. The Main Frame tube comes 40 7/8” to fit stock Tacoma frames but can be trimmed down to fit various other applications. These parts are shipped Raw, and require welding for installation.

Trail Gear Chromo Spindle Nut Kit

In many cases, stock wheel bearing nuts and star washers can be used several times. However, with the increased maintenance required of an off road vehicle, these will need to be replaced. Trail-Gear now offers a Chromo Spindle Nut Kit that allows you to more easily service your axle and decreases your long term service costs. The Locking Nut and Washer have been CNC machined from 4130 Chromoly. The Nut has also been heat treated to Grade 8 standards. Kit comes with the hardware necessary for one axle.

Advantages over stock:
Stronger than stock. Made out of 4130 Chromoly.
Extends the life of your wheel bearings due to loose spindle nut and OEM lock washer.
Ease of installation.
