Trailer Lengthening

I've often considered adding 4 foot to my 24' gooseneck to make it 28' so I can get 2 rigs on it. I'm unsure about the integrity afterward though.

If done properly integrity shouldn't be an issue. However, done poorly and it could be a disaster, literally.

I thought it went without saying that by adding 4' of deck space to the front meant removing the tongue and extending the deck space then reattaching the tongue at the same distance from the deck as it was before

I have assumed things before and didn't in this case

I Wasn't planning on lengthening the deck over the tongue, i plan to cut the trailer frame in two past the tongue, but before where the leafspring hangers for the front axle attaches
