Hardline Crawlers - Rock Bouncer Builds, Tech & Off-Road Trail Talk

Man if I had a nickel for sidewall jokes I could almost afford one of them SX’s. :rolf:

Truth be told, I’ve had good luck out of the Reds and only cut one sidewall. Guy 45 minutes away did a good job of vulcanizing it for $100. Now spinning them in the mud after the annual rain during RBD is a different story. :driving:
I ran reds for years. Never had an issue with my 39s (except the size). Cut a sidewall just puttering around my first trip out with the 42s. They were gone shortly after

Funny, but I've seen a lot of cut 39s and no 42s.

I think it's more of a luck situation.

In two years of consistent wheeling (15+ trips in that timeframe), I always kept the tires at 10 psi (which I know is too much per other peoples opinion) but never had a single issue with the sidewalls. The one trip I didn’t air up from 8 psi, I sliced the sidewall on a green trail at AOP…
