What is everyone's preferences on tranmission coolers. I have read that I should be as big as I can fit. I am working on determining where I can mount and how large I can go.

I have seen a few options that are constructed out of the extruded alumimum as compared to a standard radiator contruction. Does any one have any experiences with this type?

FYI - I have a 700r4, 2000RPM stall, manual valve body

I gots the derale atomic cooler. The output(before cooler) never gets hotter than 280.:awesomework: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

Ditto on what Johnathon said, the cooler you show would barely work well for full hydro steering

Why the hell is your tranny running at 280 :eeek:

That is output, Before the cooler. I am going to add a small gague to monitor return temps. This is after attacking any hill for more than 10 minutes at about 4 grand..with the 2400 stall convertor.

That's still high, even coming out of the tranny.

The C6 I had mounted to the built 390 in the old tow rig didn't get that hot towing the Jeep over the pass. I had the temp sensor mounted in the output to the cooler as well.
