Has anyone run triple bypass shocks with air shocks rather than coil overs? If so, how does the combo work? I have a set of 12" Fox 2.5 air shocks and a set of 12" Fox 2.0 triple bypass shocks, and I'm wondering if I can run them together. Any and all advice is appreciated.

The inconsistency of air shocks when worked hard makes them very undesirable for go-fast use.

On a bouncer, it might work ok since you wouldn't ever heat up the shock.

The issue with an air shock is the first time you cycle it fast or bottom it out (ie jumping) it will foam the oil.

I could see trying to run minimal oil in the air shock just to provide a bit of lubrication... But then it is just an air cylinder.

You could always try it, make sure there is room to mount a set of 2.0 coilovers in place of the 2.5 air shocks.

Get with Bobby Potts(I forgot his HL user name),He runs this setup. I stole this pic for his FB page.
