Boy it sure was a beautiful sunny day out today !!! :awesomework:

I rolled out the BBQ, made a nice juicy Ribeye. A nice big salad with sun dried tomatoes, and a big ole baked potato.

Now that I'm fat, happy and sippin on some jack and coke it looks as though the moon is peakin up from behind the trees....... Looks like a full moon. I officially have spring fever.

Tomorrow I'm firing up the bike and will look to see what maintenance it needs for the upcoming season.

:cool:

Tonight's full moon will nearly coincide with the moon's arrival at the perigee point in its orbit around the Earth, resulting in the closest and biggest full moon in our sky since March 1993.

War has always been good for the economy..

what part of war is good for the economy;

making stuff just to destroy it. . . or

sending men of to die . . or

the spending program of hiring all those men and the corresponding drop in unemployment?

Bob

what part of war is good for the economy;
Bob

The parts where tens of thousands of young men no longer sit on the couch wating for a job opportunity. The part where industry fires up and manufactures more war machines. The part where the gov spends billions on all of these things sparking economical growth.
WW-2 drug our ass out of the great depression.
None of this makes war "good" but it is good for the economy.:;

Government has to have money first. But I think that if we do more of this sitting back and assisting we could pull our asses out of this sling. We have some of the best war machines and other country's will buy our ****, We need this to happen not to fund our own war.

Also,

Cruise missles need to be used. "The United States Navy has a stockpile of around 3,500 Tomahawk cruise missiles of all variants, worth a combined total of approximately US $2.6 billion."

Not really. This only effects the value of the dollar.

If instead of borrowing money to fund our ever increasing deficit. We sell our weapons/war machines to foriegn governments to get rid of said deficit. Now the dollar increases. It dont matter DOD money is tight right now anywase. Ask me how I know.

I don't tink the fed gov is not going to go into business selling weapons but private industry does it now. Private industry makes the war machines and employs people who hopefully spend that money on other things.....

Private industry is backed by the federal government. If Raytheon,Lockheed,General Dynamics continue to sell weapons to britain and the U.K. that federal backing can then be recooped into our economy by other country's.

I think we are on the same page. I am saying if we stay out of it as much as possible and not use our supply. then our Defense contractors can sell to other country's then bringing money into the U.S. Economy. Are you saying this also?

Yes but being directly involved creates even more revenues. The US gov is a big customer for these companies also.:cheer:

Selling all the oil in Iraq, and taking Libya's oil would go a long way in clearing our debt, and they will both owe us huge when it's all said and done. :awesomework:
