i dont know if this is a stock open diff or a limited slip. its in both front and rear of the jeep we have. we were told their limited slips and when we turn the tires it acts like a open carrier. but i know some limited slips require power to engage.

its not an open diff..thats for sure. i dont think its an LSD either....

did you find any numbers, or markings on it?

Might be a worm gear carrier. If you spin one axle the other one should slowly spin. Kinda like a 4:1. But I don't know for sure. Is there any open area's on the carrier.

no nothin on the carrier and no open parts either.

i was told they were limited slips when we got the jeep but the more we tore into the jeep the more we relized whoever did the welds and work before we got it didn't seem to know what they were doing.

we are pulling the axles out and puttin full widths under it so these are getting sold to fund the heep
