What kind of phone is everyone using these days? I’ve got an iPhone 7 and it’s quickly giving it up. Keeps crashing, Battery has gone to crap, etc.. what’s everyone having good luck out of?

Been rocking the iPhone 11 Pro Max... camera is amazing, especially at night over others. But you know the minute you get it the next hour it’s old new something else is bigger and better...

I don’t even care if it’s the latest and greatest. Honestly I’d be fine with another iPhone with a high quality waterproof case.

The 12 is out now with 5G. So not the latest but I like it. Life proof has some good cases and the warranty is great. Fill a form online where you bought it when you bought it what case it is. Pay $7.95 and they ship it no questions

I like the android Samsung stuff. I'm not a fan of Apple phones. I use them for work though. My wife was all about apple until she spent time with an android learning them. I say give one a try. They are waterproof without a special case. We usually replace on black Friday every 2 or 3 years depending on what is out.

That’s kind of what I’ve been thinking. Last trip to aop was an absolute monsoon and I spent the whole time being super careful and keeping my phone in my lockbox.

I am not a huge fan of phones period and never jump on getting a new one because one came out. But I have been using an android Moto Z for the last couple of years and it has been a good phone. Camera works well, you can hear from both the external speaker and the standard one. I typically only have to charge it once every two days. (granted I dont use it alot.) And it was not a $1000 to purchase.

I prefer android stuff, and that's what I had for years... but the biggest push for apple products for us is the "imessage" feature that will text with cell service or over wifi, and wifi calling, without having to use a separate app, and facetime. Apple kinda "traps" you by building all that stuff in, and making it seamless with other Apple users.

I don't have cell service in my house or in the shop at work, so I may as well not have a phone if it doesn't have those features. Anyone that texts me from a non-iphone, I won't get it until I'm driving to-from work.

iPhones are suppose to be waterproof up to 6 feet I think. Never tested it though. And I’m a Apple guy. The ease and simplicity of it is what I love. Apple does piss me off when the start to mess with older phones. Like Luke said. The service will start to suck and the battery will all of a sudden go dead. I had a iPhone 6 and was a perfect working phone then the next day it wasn’t. I love my big screen 8+. I got big hands so it’s normal size to me plus I watch Netflix on it every night. Never had a android.

I have an iPhone 11. Has been swimming quite a few times but still works like new. I just let work pick em though but the last time they gave me a Samsung I hated it

I have always had Android, so don't know any better, but any time I get a new phone I want it to be Motorola, never had any issues with any of them.

I've never been a fan of Iphones, company gave me one years ago and hated it. That being said I currently have a Samsung S10, which is outdated at this point but I like it. It has like 4 cameras on it, 3 on the back for different distances and one on the front. It's 12mp so pictures are plenty clear and the new ones, S21, have a 64mp camera. Just remember people hate on Samsung but guess who makes the screens for Iphones.

I have the 11 Pro Max as well, great phone, but I wish I had gotten the 11 Pro, the Max is like a tablet. It is too big for my taste.

the last few android phones I have had, have wifi calling and the stock text app works on wifi. I feel like that should be standard these days.

Imessage and Facetime do seem nice, but can also be a pain.

I'm running a note10+. I left mine with the screen facing up near where I was welding. Not surprisingly, the screen took a beating. Have at least 3 spots where the little spatter balls burned holes through the glass but it's still working fine.

I have a GOOGLE Pixel XL and I like it alright. But I've also got used to android stuff so if you've been using Apple you might not like one.

Now that’s a hot topic.

I ended up getting an iPhone 11 and a catalyst waterproof case. We’ll see how it goes.

The funniest part of that was looking at Rachel and asking her what was burning about 10 min before you started looking for it.
