which GPS

wanting to buy a GPS to load park maps in and use for ECORS next season. found a decent deal on a Lowrance 520C and would like to know what to look for before I pull the trigger on one.

i dont want to spend over $300 , mainly want one for charploting .....does color make a huge difference??
