This smells strangely like an R, but that was like 6+ months ago.... someone posted pics just like that on here but never put up the supposed recovery pics.

Gotcha. But I'm sure it's far from an uncommon occurance. A guy that I shoot darts with works on the recoveries, so I'm sure Dale is out there.
 
I was on a job where the same thing happend it was nuts watching them pull it out. I whole job shut down to watch.
 
why can't they just get a big crane out and yank em both free... why keep exasperating the problem by sinking more iron?

That's the problem...can't get an excavator in there, definitely ain't gettin' a crane in there. Crane will start lifting, footing will give out, over it goes, now they have a big crane to recover.

ok what about a crane on a barge? isn't it close to the water?
 
one of the guys in my welding class knows the guy that got the first one stuck. And no it isnt an R because this is talking about the second one gettting stuck which must have happened yesterday i would guess
 
I saw the first bull dozer that got stuck. It was on it's side a little but that one there is bad.
