Yeah I need to work on some race radio communications. I got a setup from Midland. Handsfree, 26mile range, scrambled channels for Privacy etc. I've worked and worked with setting them up, and still, I feel that two Fruit Cocktail cans and some kite string would work better.
And I almost got the MIC's that wrap and mount on your throat until I thought about how useless they'd be with the neckbraces on.
These weren't cheap mind you but they weren't the "RACE' radio type setups. And I think that must be what you have to do to get quality voice activated, with noise cancelation thats worth a ****.

We are going old school on our race communications.... Miles is gonna scream and I wont hear him, then Ill just do what ever anyway and tear up a tire or roll us... then Miles is gonna jump out to the applaud of the crowd and show his BAD ASS tattoo. That sounds just like the one Kelly and I will be running for the 1st race. We'll test it out and see how it work. Look for a "Tech" article on it, and we can compare notes.

Took that Thursday and Friday off for this. I will either leave Wednesday after work and stop halfway, or leave early Thursday morning and go straight through. No place halfway is worth a **** to stop at! Like to hit Nashville, but it'll be too late.

It is kickass to have so many active racers on the forum ... and so many rookies as well. As long as I dont finish dead last Im a winner ( and whoop Wyatt... those are my goals this season. )
